Just because Italian food is famously simple doesn't mean a little more knowledge about it wouldn't help you appreciate it even more!
Come the New Year we will be organising various tasting events to help you explore the wonderful world of Pugliese foods and wines...
There will be tastings for:
Just like with wine we think you should get to know your olive oil! While the olive oil tasting terminology and techniques might be a little different they are no less exacting and rewarding than those for wine.
OK, so you know your Chardonnay from your Pinot Grigio. But do you know the difference between a Negroamaro and a Nero di Troia?
Try a typical Caciocavallo from Lucera, an Abbruzzese Pecorino, a delicious artisan goats cheese flavoured with fresh wild flowers and herbs and more!
Taste the difference between the mild and sweet Parma hams from Northern Italy and the delicious, more flavourful prosciutto from Faeto, Puglia; Sample the typical fennel salsiccia from the Daunia area; Try regional specialities like the Petrajolo salumi from Pietramontecorvino or even a krumpli or two...
Please check back as we will be putting up the dates for the various events as they are settled on!

We exclusively use Santa Lucia Delicato Extra-Virgin Olive Oil (as seen on Celebrity Master Chef!) in our food. This is because we know the producer well and it is very good oil. We have seen the oil mill and the olives that go into the oil. We know it contains the Leccino and Provenzale olives...
Can you be sure what's in your average supermarket olive oil and where it really comes from?
